Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta capsules provide an easy way to take your placenta post partum. Your placenta will be treated with the utmost respect as I prepare these for you. Placenta capsules are made by dehydrating your placenta for around 24 hours and then grinding it down and encapsulating into easy to take, vegetarian capsules. If there is any risk of bacteria in or on your placenta (for example, if you have been told that you have Group B Strep), I will steam your placenta first to kill any bacteria before dehydrating and encapsulating it.
I have a dedicated kitchen area for preparing placenta remedies and ensure the highest of standards of food hygiene to ensure that your remedies are safe for consumption.
Placenta Encapsulation (dehydrated or steamed & dehydrated) £210
Placenta Tincture
Placenta tincture is made using either a fresh piece of your placenta or dehydrated placenta. The placenta is placed in vodka (minimum 40% alcohol to deactivate any bacteria present) and allowed to soak for 6 weeks to extract the nutrients and hormones. The strained tincture can then be used for many years to come, supporting you through periods of change or stress.
Placenta Tincture £45 (add £100 if you are not ordering placenta capsules in addition to the tincture).
Your placenta tincture will be ready for use after 6 weeks of preparation and is delivered separately to the placenta capsules, essence and smoothies (if ordered).
Placenta Essence
Placenta essence is made from the essence of your placenta using distilled water and a minimum 40% vodka. It can be used in the same way as the tincture, supporting you during times of change or stress. Ready for use within 24 hours of preparation.
Placenta Essence £30 (add £100 if you are not ordering placenta capsules in addition to the essence)
Smoothies
Prepared using a fresh piece of placenta, blended with a variety of fruits to create a delicious and nourishing smoothie.
Unfortunately, for safety reasons, I am unable to make a placenta smoothie if meconium was present at the birth of your baby and placenta.
Placenta Smoothie £10 (smoothies can only be ordered in addition to other placenta remedies)
Placenta Pictures
I will create a digital picture from your placenta as part of your package as a reminder of how awesome your body has been in creating this special organ and to give thanks to the amazing job it has done in nourishing & protecting your baby. If you have any colours in mind that you would like me to use, then just let me know! (add £15 for framed image)
