Girl or Boy? Find out from as early as 6 weeks!

Can't wait to find out if you are expecting a girl or a boy? I can take a small blood sample from your arm from 6 weeks of pregnancy* so that you can find out!

How it works:

1. Make an appointment where I will come and take a small blood sample from your arm within the comfort of your own home (or location that you request)

  1. Your blood sample is sent within a specialist tube, to an accredited UK Genomics Laboratory for a highly sensitive DNA test (over 99% effective)

  2. Your blood sample is analysed using a process that can detect the small amounts of your baby's DNA that is present in your bloodstream. The test looks to detect Y (male) chromosomes.

  3. If Y chromosomes are detected, you are expecting a boy. If no Y chromosomes are detected, you are expecting a girl.

  4. Results are available within 2 days from blood collection

5 GOOD REASONS TO BOOK YOUR EARLY GENDER REVEAL BLOOD TEST

WITH CALM & MIGHTY:

  1. As this Gender Reveal test only requires a small blood sample (taken from your arm), it is safe for both you and your baby.

  2. This test is far more accurate than the finger prick type tests that are available which do not provide sufficient DNA to give an accurate prediction of your baby's biological sex and have a higher male chromosome contamination risk.

  3. You will receive a truly personal service with someone who is passionate about pregnancy, birth and babies and is genuinely excited to play even a small part in you and your baby's journey. I am happy to stay and chat for an hour if you'd like me to and answer any pregnancy, birth and baby related questions that you might have (as a birth & postnatal doula, it's my favourite topic of conversation!)

  4. I am a mobile phlebotomist which means that you can have your blood sample taken from the comfort of your own home and your result will be available within 2 days

*It is important that you do not test before 6 weeks as the Y (male) chromosome that the test is detecting may be missed and you will receive an incorrect result. If you are unsure about your dates, I would suggest waiting until you have had an early pregnancy scan.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a test for curiosity ONLY and should not be used for gender selection.
